Our Story
Commercial Painting Built Around What Property Owners Actually Need
We started with a simple frustration: commercial property owners in Winnipeg deserved a painting contractor that showed up prepared, communicated clearly, and delivered work that lasted.
Commercial painting in Winnipeg has a reputation problem. Property managers across the city have a story about a painting contractor who underbid to win the job, skipped the prep, and left them with peeling paint in 18 months.
The Winnipeg Commercial Painting Co. was built on the opposite approach. We've been doing commercial painting in Winnipeg long enough to know that the lowest bid is almost never the best value. A paint job that fails in 18 months costs more in the second cycle than a correct paint job would have cost the first time.
So we built a company around doing it right. That means specifying the correct product for the environment, doing the preparation that the substrate requires, scheduling around the client's operations rather than around our convenience, and handing over a documented project package that the property manager can file and reference for years.
We work across 12 commercial painting specialties in Winnipeg: offices, restaurants, warehouses, retail, hotels, healthcare, schools, apartments, interiors, parkades, floors, and exteriors. We've built specific expertise for each one because each one is genuinely different.
Over the years we've painted thousands of commercial spaces throughout Winnipeg and surrounding Manitoba communities. The property managers who work with us tend to stay with us — because the first project goes the way we said it would, and there's no reason to shop the next one.

Manitoba's climate demands Manitoba-rated coatings.
We spec products engineered for -40°C winters and 75°C annual temperature swings. The wrong coating fails in the first Winnipeg winter. The right one lasts a decade.
How We Work
The Standards We Hold Ourselves To
Correct coating for the correct substrate
We don't have a favourite product. We have a library of products and we match the right one to the conditions — substrate type, use pattern, occupancy constraints, and budget. Recommending the cheapest available product isn't serving the client.
Preparation before everything
Our production hours are weighted toward prep, not colour. Sanding, caulking, priming, crack repair — these aren't billable extras, they're the foundation of a paint job that lasts. We don't skip them to hit a lower price.
Honest scheduling
We quote realistic timelines and we hold them. If something changes on site — a substrate issue we didn't anticipate, a scheduling conflict on your end — we communicate it before it becomes a problem, not after.
Clean sites and professional crews
Your property is a working environment. Our crews clean up daily, protect everything that isn't being painted, and don't leave trade debris on your floor overnight. The site at the end of our day looks like nobody was there.
Documented handover
Every project closes with a written colour schedule, product data sheets for every coating applied, and labelled touch-up paint for every colour. Your maintenance team or next painting contractor will have everything they need.
No surprises on invoice day
We write detailed quotes. If the scope changes — because of something you asked for or something we discovered — we write a change order before the work happens, not after. The final invoice matches the approved quote.
The Products We Use
Commercial-Grade Coatings Only
We work with Sherwin-Williams, Benjamin Moore, and Dulux commercial product lines on every project. No big-box store economy paint on commercial substrates. The price difference between a commercial-grade coating and a consumer-grade product is modest — maybe 20–30% per litre — but the performance difference over the life of the coating is significant.
Sherwin-Williams commercial lines include ProMar 200, Duration, and Emerald — each positioned for different performance requirements and budgets. Their Harmony line is our standard for low-VOC occupied environments. For healthcare settings, we use their Health Care Interior Coating line, which is specifically formulated for disinfectant resistance.
Benjamin Moore Natura is our first-choice zero-VOC option for schools, healthcare, and any environment where indoor air quality standards are strict. Their Aura and Ultra-Spec commercial lines cover the mid-tier commercial interior market with excellent coverage and film performance.
For industrial and floor coating work, we use Sherwin-Williams Tile-Clad, Macropoxy, and ArmorSeal epoxy systems, supplemented by Rust-Oleum Professional and Sika industrial floor systems for specific chemistry requirements. We match the product to the exposure profile — no one-size-fits-all industrial paint here.
